Terms of Use
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Acceptance
By using PictureBox — including joining an event and uploading photos or videos — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. PictureBox is available at picturebox.nu.
Your content and your responsibility
By uploading content you confirm that:
- you own the photos or videos you upload, or have the necessary rights and permissions to share them;
- the upload does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademarks, privacy, or other legal rights;
- the content complies with applicable law.
If your content shows identifiable people, you are responsible for having the necessary consent or another lawful basis to share it with the other guests of the event.
No tolerance for objectionable content
There is zero tolerance for objectionable, illegal, or abusive content, or for abusive users. You agree not to upload, share, or post any content that:
- is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or defamatory;
- is sexually explicit, pornographic, or depicts nudity;
- depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity;
- infringes anyone’s privacy, copyright, or other rights;
- contains another person without a reasonable expectation that they consent to the photo being shared with other event guests;
- contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- is spam or unsolicited advertising.
License to PictureBox
You keep ownership of your content — PictureBox claims no ownership of it. By uploading, you grant PictureBox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and distribute your content to the extent necessary to provide the app’s features, including showing photos to the participants of the relevant event and preparing downloads for the host. The license ends when your content is deleted from our systems.
Moderation, reporting, and blocking
PictureBox provides tools to keep events safe:
- Report: any guest can report a photo from the full-screen viewer. Reported content is reviewed and removed if it violates these Terms, normally within 24 hours.
- Block: any guest can hide all photos from a specific uploader so they no longer appear in their gallery.
- Removal: you can delete your own photos and data at any time using Delete My Data in the app. Event hosts may remove any photo or end an event.
We may remove content that we consider to violate these Terms or applicable law, without notice. Repeated or serious violations may lead to your access to the app being restricted or terminated.
Liability
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. To the extent permitted by law, PictureBox is not liable for losses or claims arising from user-uploaded content.
Deletion of content
Content may be deleted when:
- the event is deleted or expires;
- you request deletion (for example via Delete My Data);
- the content violates these Terms;
- deletion is required for legal reasons.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
